Participants in this training will learn how to support caregivers to build a healthy relationship with their child through predictable, fun, connected play activities. Strong parent-child relationships serve as a foundation for the child’s self regulation, which allows the child to develop optimally and build resilience. After completing training, participants will have the skill and experience to begin applying Theraplay principles in their work with children and families. Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge by joining the Theraplay community through observation of supervision sessions and participation in networking workshops.

This training is available for Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Clinical Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, School Counselors, Play Therapists, Infant Mental Health Professionals, Special Education Teachers, and others…

CEs Available: 25 | Six Day Training | Hybrid - In-person and virtual | $1,125 ($1,025 if you sign up before June 28, 2026) | Trainer: Angela Mains, MA, LPC-S, TBRI® Practitioner, Registered Play Therapist

This is a hybrid training split between virtual and in-person days. The virtual days are September 28-October 1, 2026 from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm Eastern Time Zone. The in-person days are October 8, 2026 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and October 9, 2026 from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Eastern Time Zone.
